My 1,000 | Series Part Eight

My 1,000  I just love fall. The crisp, cool temperatures, the smell of leaves in the air, the colors…I love it all. Living amongst a lot of trees means we have a lot of leaves littering the ground and our front porch. I really don’t mind it though and I can hardly bring myself to clean away the leaves. I love the crunching sound as you walk through them.
Today is Friday [like, yay] and we are headed off for another camping trip this weekend. Our church goes on an annual campout and it’s always loads of fun and basically the highlight of my year. So today I am prepping for that. At the moment I have dough rising for cinnamon rolls, I need to wrap some gifts and also pack up all of our needed supplies. The weather is promising to be rather frigidly cold and being the true campers that we are, we will be braving it in a tent. [Note: we do have an electric heater…maybe we aren’t “true” campers] This obviously means plenty of extra blankets and warm clothes. But honestly, camping just isn’t as much fun if it’s not a little cold.
Since it is Friday I am going to share a few things that I am thankful for this week. If you have missed the other posts in the “My 1,000” series, you can catch up by clicking the “My 1,000” page in the menu bar at the top of this page.
This week I am thankful for:
31. A happy weekend camping with family
32. The smell of fall leaves
33. Blue sky fall days
34. Fall leaves on my front porch
What are you thankful for this week?
