11 Inspirational Reads

inpirational reads
I love to read. Like, really love to read. I am always reading and while I gravitate mostly towards fiction, I have kind of been inspired lately to mix in more inspirational books as well. Reading is a learning experience no matter what you read, I think, and there is so much to be taken from good books that inspire and encourage you in your walk with the Lord. I thought I would take the time today to share with you a few books that are currently on my inspirational “to read” list. Some of these are re-reads for me, others I have never read before, but am so looking forward to cracking them open!
//1. Glory Days: Living Your Promised Land Life Now by Max Lucado// This is a new read for me provided byBookLookBloggers and I have already dived into its goodness. Be on the look out for a review on it!
//2. The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis// This is a re-read for me. I don’t think I fully appreciated its depth and meaning the first time I read it, so I am looking forward to reading it again.
//3. Crazy Love: Overwhelmed by a Relentless God by Francis Chan// I have read this before as well, but it is such a good book…probably one of those that should be a yearly read, or something.
//4. The Insanity of God: A True Story of Faith Resurrected by Nik Ripken// I am SO EXCITED to read this book!! It will be the first time I’ve read it and it is promising to be amazing.
//5. The Insanity of Obedience: Walking with Jesus in Tough Places by Nik Ripken// Same as above, I am so excited to read this book!!!
//6. The Christian’s Secret of a Happy Life by Hannah Whitall Smith// I read this book several years ago and it held nuggets of gold.
//7. One Thousand Gifts: A Dare to Live Fully Right Where You Are by Ann Voskamp// Obviously, I’ve read this before, but it is definitely worth re-reading at least once a year.
//8. Wrestling Prayer: A Passionate Communion with God by Eric Ludy// I read this years ago as well and I look forward to being inspired by it again.
//9. The Kingdom that Turned the World Upside Down by David W. Bercot// This is actually my hubby’s book (wonder of wonders, because he doesn’t even like to read), so I added it to the stack kind of randomly.
//10. Spiritual Slavery to Spiritual Sonship: Your Destiny Awaits You by Jack Frost// We’ve had this book for awhile, but I haven’t read it yet. It holds promising!
//11. The Purpose Driven Life: What on Earth Am I Here For? by Rick Warren// I know, who hasn’t read this book?? Well, I haven’t, I’ve only ever gotten past the first few chapters. But this time, I am determined to finish it!
I’d love to know, what books do you find inspiring??
