And Then It Was December

christmas time
It’s been a bit since I’ve been back here, but here I am. We survived Thanksgiving in a flurry of food and family with three different celebrations. In my opinion, Thanksgiving should basically be celebrated the whole weekend long, so I totally don’t mind the busyness.
I feel like I’m not yet in the Christmas “spirit” yet. My house doesn’t have one stitch of Christmas greenery (photo above is from last year) but I am okay with that at this point. Also, the dreary weather we’ve been having all week isn’t exactly conducive to scavenging the woods looking for the perfect pine boughs and pine cones. I am hoping that I’ll be able to do some decorating this weekend. I want to make a few cinnamon ornaments and salt dough ornaments. Maybe I’ll share the recipes for them. :) There are Christmas presents still to be bought and made (two of the hardest handmade gifts are done, which I couldn’t be happier about!). There is Christmas music to listen to, Christmas cards to send, Christmas baking to do…it’s the season to be merry. Take it in folks. As much as I love taking pretty pictures, I am really terrible at pulling out my camera but this month, I want to make an effort to capture all that goes with the Christmas season. I want toremember it.
How was your Thanksgiving? Have you finished decorating and gift shopping already?
