Book Review: The Comeback

I think it's safe to say that we all love a good comeback story. You know the ones, the sports team that's losing and the last few minutes are on the game clock. It's now or never, do or die. And then, the unexpected happens. When all hope seems lost, a game-winning score is made and just like that, a comeback. A complete turn around. A moment for the history books. Life is sometimes like that. We reach the end of our rope, the bottom of the barrel and we need a comeback. We need a game-changer. By this time, maybe we already know that we aren't capable of being the game-changer ourselves. We've tried, oh we've tried, but it's like one step forward and two steps back. Like walking on ice with shoes that have no grip. In this book, The Comeback by Louie Giglio, he points you to the source of our comeback. He shows you how to have a comeback. It's not as easy as do that and this will happen, but it is possible. Louie paints a picture of hope for the down and out, the downtrodden. Jesus is ready to give each of us a comeback when we need it the most. He wants to give us hope in our darkness. This hope is not elusive, it is available for each one of us. The hope that exudes out of this book is palpable. You won't regret reading it.
